A landmark of Melbourne. The state library is deeply connected to the culture of Melbourne, it is often decorated based on certain events the city runs.

One of the best libraries i have been by far. This library is not your typical library its most like a museum. When in Melbourne, make sure to visit the ambiance of this library. Well do e to State Government.

Melbourne's cathedral to books is a wonderful place to escape the hustle and bustle of the craziness outside. A great place to find a hidden gem of history and literature. Take the elevator up to the Dome galleries and peer down at university students, scholars, researchers and the general public studying in the LaTrobe Reading Room. Also many large public protests and events happen out in the public forecourt, causing the library to be busy. but overall a good place

One of the most interesting libraries I've seen! This place is not your normal library! Not only has it got an unusual design but it has about 3 levels of a museum type set up where you can walk around each level and find out interesting facts about Australia, Melbourne and its surrounding areas, history and also art work too. It's both visually impressive and serves its primary purpose of being a good sized functional library.

The library is open to all during business hours and has a large range of books and other media available for viewing and borrowing. Anybody with a Victorian address cam borrow a book free of charge.

There are always amazing and ever changing exhibitions to check out on level 5, tours through the chambers normally closed to the public and free wifi and comfy chairs for those hoping to just sit back and soak up a bit of knowledge.

Such a stunning example of old time architecture. The State Library of Victoria is a must visit not only for the students but for everyone else too.
