  Absolutely appalling customer service. Muji employees are incredibly apathetic and even the manager at the Emporium was very rude and condescending. Even though I enjoy the products, I refuse to shop at Muji as due to several bad experiences I have had at the store and thus cannot bring myself to support such awful customer service.

  I totally understand stores having a 30 day returns policy. I live in Hobart and recently purchased a $120 cuckoo clock (an item always in stock) from Muji Melbourne Emporium. I purchased on September 5th and am returning to Melbourne on November 30th. I was assured by a member of staff that if I had nowhere to hang the clock once home that the late return in November was ok. I have contacted the store immediately to arrange a return for November and also offered to post the item back before this and was informed, rudely, that this was not possible. I wish I had got the offer in writing... The initial service was so poor that I should have realised that there would be a problem...

  Went to the store in Feb to buy some chairs for their dining table set. Took staff 30 minutes to find out how much it would cost, then when I ordered them they said it would take 3 months to arrive from Japan. Ridiculous wait time but I agreed. 3 months later, no call from them, so I rang them. Firstly I was told they found no record of my order. Then a manager called me back and said they found it, and it should arrive in one month's time, and the warehouse would call me. 6 weeks later, no call, so I rang again, and they said it's on the boat, will arrive in 2 weeks, warehouse will call me. 2 months later, no call, and I've given up. I refuse to keep checking up on their utter incompetence. I'm not sure how long a business like that is going to last when they can let a $1200 sale go missing.
