  These must be fake reviews. I have not had more appaling client service. This firm enjoys a particular tactic. They rope you in about how promising your case is, then they make you drop between $20,000-$40,000+. A lot of money is wasted in drafting affidavits. Who doesn't use 'accept' and 'reject' tracked changes in 2017? They don't do the other neccessary work like follow-up on discovery or even forwarding you documents. It's like pulling teeth. Then, they drop you to move onto the next easy client by, sending you a Notice To Withdraw and no further discussion. This churning of clients for quick money upfront is completely unethical. Do not go to this law firm. They do not care. Secretaries change every 6 months. This is a poor functioning law firm who takes 3-4 weeks to even send a letter out for you, if it goes out at all. They charge you for the 10 follow-up emails you write to them. Don't trust them to act in your best interests.

  I have dealt with lawyers in the past through my business but it's not until you need legal representation for a personal event (such as separation in my case) when it really counts. Blackwood Family Lawyers have provided excellent support over the last 9 months and have not only helped me address the legal matters required, they have been that voice of reason to help me think through how I get the best outcome for my children and myself. They knew I wanted to avoid going to Court and offered ways for me to address my legal matters outside of this forum as much as possible. This included helping me come up with strategies on how to hose down my partners attempts to embroil us in a long drawn out legal saga. My children and I are certainly better off for having engaged their services. I can't recommend them enough!

  Every interaction with, and communication from, the firm was always of the highest professional standard. Marita is very very good at explaining the situation and taking the emotion out of what can be a highly emotional process.
