Most drivers are disrespectful and don't care about their own job or passengers. They would scream at passengers who stand in front of the door but would not assist passengers who ask questions and say, "I dont know". There was even one driver who replied with a "smart-ass" answer to a question asked. Feeling cocky that no evidence could be collected anyway.

They need to install High Definition CCTV on all trams and most stops as tram drivers can be very abusive. It has been happening already. Passengers getting assaulted, and denied exit and entry into the tram by the tram door controlled by the tram driver-- especially on older trams. Drivers fail to apologise or assist passengers by reopening the door, and passengers are forced to get themselves out if stuck between the door and wall. Currently there's no compensation for injury for this sort by Yarra Trams. The only compensation is if the Tram is late to arrive. The compensation is the fare but if the incident happened during the free zone then there is no compensation at all.
