  We recently engaged John Ryan Removals to move our stuff and car to New Zealand as we are relocating. Great communications from everyone from the company, keeping us posted every step of the way. Two of the lovely gentlemen came to pack our things, on scheduled time and super friendly. David and Timothy are highly commendable on the job they did packing our stuff with care and I was given a copy of the items that was shipped through. The day I went to drop the car, I was dropped off at the nearest train station to assist me with my transport back home, thank you Keith. Will recommend John Ryan Removals to all my friends.

  Unfortunately, I previously considered this company a five star company. Although my recent move went reasonably well (4.5 stars), the head office management were atrocious. Although they promised to deal with the quote issues after the move, they refuse to respond to my written contacts, instead continually sending me requests to review their service. So, here's my two star review.

  They were awful. They lost two of my insured boxes. When they checked box numbers on arrival they couldn't find 2 boxes and the removalist suddenly found then and marked them as arrived. When he left I check every box and I was still missing 2 boxes. When I asked for them to find it they couldn't and they called me a liar so they would not pay the insured cost of my items. I lost clothes and kitchenware and was accused of lying and they never paid a cent for any of the items THEY lost. Disgusting. What i described happened at arrival they had proof of in the carbon paper sheets and he said he believes me up to this part but not the rest. What reason do i have to lie or half lie. All i wanted was my things back. I would not give them a star but to post i have to give one. Every item they collect for transport they mark as 'soiled' even when its pristine and only a month old, this is to not pay up if they damage it. If they loose an item they make you feel like a criminal and call you a liar. They try to negotiate down the value of the items lost/damaged even when you have receipts of the item saying you are asking too much and then they just don't pay because its too expensive. They are criminals not the customers.

  Rock up at 8am and carry on like a bunch or larrikans for an hour and a half while everybody else is trying to sleep. Looked up the company makes sense based in Dandenong. Why dont you have courtesy for other human beings it isnt all about you

  If you get a quote from this company, don't rely on it. I had so many issues on moving day because the quote was wrong.

  My father died recently and we had the unenviable task of selling the family home and moving everything out. I am so glad we selected John Ryan Removals. Mark came and worked out how we were going to pack, divide and move everything and he even arranged for the unwanted items to be dropped of to St Vinnies. The packers were excellent and the movers made the day a lot more light hearted than I thought the day would or could be.
