    I have had the pleasure and good luck to live opposite this grand monument for the last 9 years. Volunteers who work there take pride in their role and I love the sense of ceremony and tradition that is practiced. The Shrine recently had a major renovation and now visitors have the luck of browsing through an impressive exhibition of aritifacts and history in the ground floor of the Shrine.

    Beautiful Architecture- Interesting museum inside. A lot to learn from the history of the wars of the 20th Century. The surrounding gardens are very beautiful and it is conveniently situated to a number of tram stops. Excellent experience.

    Enjoy 360 degree views of Melbourne at the rooftop levels of the Shrine. It is a bit of a climb to the top, but well worth it.

    I highly recommend attending the free tours. Well worth it especially if you are lucky and shown around by some of the volunteer war veterans.
