  This railway station, on the Cnr of Flinders and Swanston Sts, is an iconic and cultural Melbourne landmark. It's the oldest railway station in Australia, and is the busiest suburban railway station in the southern hemisphere. It's the main hub of the Melbourne train network and from here you can catch a train to most of Melbourne's suburbs. It's by far the busiest railway station on the Metro network. It has a number of food and drink outlets and, on the steps under the clocks at the very front, has been the meeting place for generations of people. In many ways it's the centre of Melbourne. It's directly opposite Federation Square and most of Melbourne's trams run past it so you can just about get to anywhere in Melbourne from this central location.
